New Treasury

My Spidertime ACEO is quite popular at this time of year. Here's the original story about this spider. Be sure to read the comments also because my readers helped me understand what kind of spider it was and why it did what it did.

My spider appeared in this delightful treasury called Happy Haunting.   It was created by Charlottescollection, which is indeed an eclectic collection of beautiful work!

  2. You can't imagine how thrilled I am by this post! I have tried to find out what kind of spider this was but you probably know by now how difficult it is to identify a spider from info on the Web (LOL)! This summer, as I was drifting around on my lake on a floaty chair, peeling fibre for paper, out of nowhere, way out in the lake, this gigantic spider came right at me on a web line. I saw it coming and tried paddling madly away but there it was and then on my lap! I screamed and tossed all my peeled fibre into the lake with the spider. DH laughed at my story and I don't think he really believed me about this giant people-eating spider (okay, it didn't try to eat me) and I couldn't find it anywhere on the Web to show him what it looked like. Now I know!

  3. OMG! I would have thrown MYSELF in the water! I really don't like spiders and as I said the only reason I could tolerate that one was because it was on the other side of the window - and because its behavior was so curious. My blog readers helped me identify it, so I'm glad I helped you. I also have a few of those "hilarious" stories involving spiders. Thanks for the good laugh!!
